Overview
Panax ginseng is a well-known and highly researched species of ginseng. Native to China, Korea and Russia, this adaptogen is known as the king of herbs and is an essential herbal remedy used by Chinese health practitioners for centuries.
Mechanism
The biologically active substances in ginseng, ginsenosides, restore the balance of the human body and neutralize the negative impact of stress. Ginsenosides appear to have a modulating effect on the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis.
